Modeling and Simulation Association (Thailand): M-SAT

The Modeling and Simulation Association (Thailand), known as M-SAT, was established in 2002 with the aim of building a strong community that connects researchers in Thailand with colleagues worldwide in the field of modeling and simulation. The association provides a platform to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and promote advancements in theory, methods, and applications.

Its scope is broad and inclusive, covering all forms of academic and professional activities such as symposia, conferences, workshops, and specialized forums. Beyond academic events, the association also supports initiatives that facilitate collaboration, resource sharing, and professional development for researchers, students, and practitioners. Importantly, the association embraces not only modeling but also simulation, recognizing their complementary roles in solving complex real-world problems.

One of the association’s flagship activities since 2004 is its participation in the Operations Research Network of Thailand (OR-NET) Conference, a major annual event that brings together experts, academics, and industry partners to present research, share ideas, and strengthen the national and international research community. M-SAT is heavily involved in being the main technical committee for paper selection and also serves as the major committee to select papers to further publish in TCI-1 Thai and Scopus-based international journals.
